Cyclones are the major type of industrial gas-solid separator used because of their easy construction, low cost and ability to operate at high temperatures and pressures.This new release represents a major updating version of the cyclone software, and allows new functionalities described below. <\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Calculation models<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">To take into account particles concentration at the cyclone entrance, some modifications were realized on the existing calculation models, and an additionnal resolution model is now available for the using of a high particles loading :\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bart,<\/li>\n<li>Leith and Licht mdel,<\/li>\n<li>M\u00f6thes and L\u00f6ffler,<\/li>\n<li>Lorenz,<\/li>\n<li>Muschelknautz<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">(The Muschelknautz model is used by default when the solid concentration is &gt; 10 g.m-3).<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>\u00a0Multi-cyclone combination:<\/h2>\n<div id=\"Multi_2\">\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">In the particular case of a multi-cyclone combination, the software offers the possibility to develop a complex network consisting on an arrangement of several series and\/or parallel cyclones configurations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-1281 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.progepi.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/cyclone-e1492612988423.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"292\" height=\"213\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.progepi.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/cyclone-e1492612988423.png 1164w, https:\/\/www.progepi.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/cyclone-e1492612988423-300x218.png 300w, https:\/\/www.progepi.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/cyclone-e1492612988423-768x559.png 768w, https:\/\/www.progepi.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/cyclone-e1492612988423-1024x745.png 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 292px) 85vw, 292px\" \/><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Validity range of the models:<\/h2>\n<div id=\"Valididty_2\">\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Depending on the available datas, quantitative results can be calculated for a combination of two or three parameters chosen among fives major parameters:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">volumetric flow rate (from 0.0001 to 1 000 m3.s-1),<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">cyclone diameter (from 0.01 to 3 m), <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">cut diameter (from 0.2 to 20 \u00b5m),<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">cyclone efficiency, <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">pressure drop (from 10 to 10 000 KPa).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Results:<\/h2>\n<div id=\"Results_2\">\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">\u00a0The Cyclone Software provides calculation of cyclone efficiency for a given geometry, or determination of geometry for a desired efficiency. The simulated results and the characteristic dimensions of the designed cyclone are directly accessible after calculation. The user has access to several quantities such as:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">cyclone design,<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">cut diameter, <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">pressure drop,<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">cyclone efficiency,<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">volumetric flow rate.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">The user has also access to the separation efficiencies for each particle size filed in the Cyclone Software.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2 id=\"Image_2\">Notes:<\/h2>\n<div id=\"Notes_2\">\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">To improve the results accessibility, all data results can be export in a post processing software using copy\/paste functionalities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">The cyclone Software package is only available in english version and runs under all Windows operating systems (32 and 64 bits versions)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"Plus_infos\">\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial\"><b>For more informations:\u00a0 contact@progepi.fr<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Context Based on rotational effects and gravity force, the cyclonic separation is a method for removing solid particles from air or gas stream.
